This is the most pure Korean style meal I have ever had. The boss and the waitress are all Korean-Chinese

This is another famous dish of Korean food, rise mixed with veges in a stone bowl.
There is rise under the egg and veges

Whenever I go to Korean restaurant, a question always bothers me: From where does Korean get the idea about servicing barbecued beef with lettuce ? Be fair, it really tastes good.

Lettuce originally comes from egypty. It is apperent that the cold weather in the korean penisula would not "remind" people to farm lettuce rather than  green onion and kohlrabi . When did Korean have the lettuce?

In addition, for a long time, Korea had been keeping a close relationship with China. It is unusual that even in the Northeastern China it is difficult to trace any similar "food" to service grilled meat with raw lettuce.

Does anybody have an idea about it?
